Giving thanks when God says no

Have you ever had one of those days where God just so lovingly reminds you of ALL that He's sovereignly allowed you to overcome in Christ... and then He encourages your heart with the memory of who you used to be vs. who He is molding you to be?!

Today has been that kind of day for me and I just want to praise Him specifically...

For all the times He answered prayers and the answer was NO...

For all the times He removed people from my life...

For all the times He disciplined me and let me feel the weight of my sinful choices...

For all the times He protected me and my life was spared...

For all the times He showered me with grace I could never earn or deserve...

Thank you Father God for turning the biggest mess of a life into Your message of hope and redemption!

Thank you Lord for brokenness that leads to blessedness!

Thank you Savior for redeeming this victimized sinner and transforming me into a victorious saint!

Thank you Provider for always giving me exactly what I needed and not necessarily what I thought I wanted!

Thank you Healer for healing my heart and transforming my wicked, rebellious, sinful life into a whole, restored, sanctified life!

Thank you Shepherd for leading and guiding my steps and for so lovingly re-directing my wayward paths back toward You!

I praise You, for You are the God who knows, the God who sees, the God from whom nothing is hidden!

I praise You, for You are holy, righteous and just!

I praise You, for You are Love, You are Truth, You are the Only Way and the Only Life!

I praise You, for You alone can bring beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for despair!

I praise You, for You chose to rescue and redeem my life, You brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And You set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm!

I praise You, for You are Emmanuel, the Word made flesh, that dwelt among us!

I praise You for Your never-changing word and character!

Today and every day, may my life reflect a heart completely surrendered to You and Your will alone!

"I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your marvelous works." Psalm 9:1b
