The GREATEST Gift!

On the Eve of the one day set aside to celebrate my Savior's birth, my heart is so overwhelmed!

The magnitude of this one pivotal day in time still astounds me...

That the God of heaven, chose to humble Himself, being born of a virgin, delivered in a stable, to one day be crucified on a bloody cross, then resurrected so that we could be saved!

I want to live a life of daily repentance, obedience and faith.

I want to celebrate this day all year long.

I want to focus on this magnificent gift every minute of every day, not just at Christmas-time!

Oh to live in awe of His glorious presence among us, to bask in this grace by which we are saved, and to surrender to His will, not only on Christmas, but each and every day!

He alone is worthy of all our life's praise!

Jesus is THE answer to every question, the gift above all gifts, The Lord of lords and the King of kings!

Today, I am missing my Daddy so very much, and I know there are many others who are going through these holiday celebrations with sadness and grief over many things: loss of loved ones, memories of better times, longings for desires unfulfilled, broken families not yet reconciled, hurting hearts, loved ones still slaves to sin, and the harsh realities of a broken world not yet fully redeemed...

Please take heart! There is HOPE!

And hope has a name -- His name is Jesus - Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, Immanuel, God WITH us!!

Oh that we would turn our minds and hearts toward Him today... THE greatest gift ever given...

the Light of the world, Holy and Righteous, our Living Redeemer!
